Colony West
Before we started the project, their backyard in Overland Park, Kansas was used sparingly, primarily in mild weather. The renovation added a large covered space with an outdoor kitchen, gas fireplace, wood burning firepit, large ceiling fan, and infrared heaters making it a year-round living space.

The initial concepts
John & Ellen had bene looking to upgrade their backyard for several years. When they reached out to Third Space they had a small, old patio in their backyard and lots of water issues with slope and poor drainage. The project started with a walk through and a full design package including 2D construction drawings and 3D renderings. Once the design was completed we presented the budget for the work to be done.

The new space included a covered porch for year round outdoor living, under the covered porch we installed electric infrared heaters to provide warmth all year long. We added an outdoor grill island, gas fireplace with stone veneer, and 2 large patio areas. The uncovered patio include includes a beautiful herringbone pattern paver patio with seating wall and wood burning firepit. The space was finished off with beautiful landscaping. This will be a beautiful space for them to enjoy for years to come.
